How to Connect Metamask to CrowdLaunch Dapp

Setting Up MetaMask

1. Before connecting MetaMask with a DApp, install the MetaMask extension on your browser. You can download it from the MetaMask website, Chrome Web Store, Firefox Add-ons, or the Brave browser extensions list.
2. After installing the extension, you must set up your MetaMask wallet. Click on the extension and follow the prompts to set up a new Ethereum wallet. Make sure to write down your recovery phrase in a secure place. This phrase will help you recover your wallet if you forget your password or lose access to your wallet.

Connecting MetaMask to CrowdLaunch DApp

To connect your MetaMask wallet to CrowdLaunch:

• Navigate to CrowdLaunch Dapp.
• Look for the "connect" button at the top right corner of the app header section. Click on this button.
• A modal with a list of wallets will be present. Select Metamask.
• The DApp will request to connect to your MetaMask wallet. At this point, MetaMask will open a new tab or pop-up window. Confirm that you want to connect your wallet to the DApp.
• Congratulations! Your MetaMask wallet is now connected to the DApp. You can start interacting with the DApp through your wallet.

Interacting with the DApp

Now that your wallet is connected, you can use the DApp. This typically involves executing transactions or smart contracts on the Ethereum network. Every time you perform a transaction, MetaMask will ask you to confirm the details and the gas fee before processing.

Disconnecting MetaMask from a DApp

After you've finished interacting with the DApp, it's a good practice to disconnect your MetaMask wallet for security reasons. To do this:

• Click on the MetaMask extension.
• Click the round icon in the top right corner to access your account details.
• Scroll down to "Connected Sites", where you'll see a list of all the DApps your wallet is connected to.
• Click the 'x' next to the DApp you want to disconnect.
• Confirm the action. Your wallet will now be disconnected from the DApp.

Remember, always ensure you're interacting with trustworthy DApps, as connecting your wallet can expose your account to risks if the DApp is malicious. Always verify the DApp's legitimacy before connection, and only confirm transactions you fully understand.
